The 2012 WP Spelling Bee is scheduled for Wednesday February 15 for Grades K to 3, and Thursday February 16 for Grades 4 to 8. The A-Team Spellers will kick-off the Spelling Bee on Thursday, Feb 16th at 6pm. The Spelling Bee will start at 6 pm both nights in the WP School Auditorium.

Valentine’s Carnation Sale and Flower Give Away, Tuesday, February 14, 8:10 am – 8:45 am

Our Annual Valentine’s Carnation Sale and Flower Give Away will be Tuesday, February 14th in the main school lobby from 8:10AM to 8:45AM. Carnations are $2 Each or 3 for $5.00. There is also a raffle for a beautiful flower arrangement for your Valentine! Raffle Tickets will be 3 for $5 and 6 for $10!! Happy Valentine’s Day!

Warren Prescott Wins National “Mashup” Competition!

The Warren Prescott School Chorus won a national competition for the best music mashup in America. The prize was $10,000 that will go toward the school’s music program.

Dr. Amara appointed Academic Superintendent, Middle and K-8 Schools!

After 21 years at the Warren Prescott School, Dr. Amara is moving on to a new position as Academic Superintendent, Middle and K-8 Schools. In that time, Dr. Amara has worked tirelessly to provide a high-quality, sustainable public education environment for the students at the Warren Prescott School. His new position will allow him to spread his successes to other Boston public schools. We will miss him!

Michele Davis appointed new Principal of Warren Prescott K-8 School

Michele Davis has been appointed as the new principal of the Warren/Prescott K-8 School, effective July 1, 2011. Prior to this she served as Acting Principal of the Patrick J. Kennedy School, assistant principal at the James F. Condon School, principal fellow at the George H. Conley School, and teacher at the Warren/Prescott K-8 School for thirteen years. Boston Public School Superintendent, Carol Johnson wrote, “We believe that Ms. Davis’ strong administrative leadership, coupled with her deep knowledge of the Warren/Prescott K-8 School, will continue the success of the school.”
